Legislative Changes to Voluntary Organisations and CVS in the Future

There are a range of policy and legislative changes that will impact directly on voluntary organisations and CVS in the coming years.

These changes do not just relate to funding but also how the sector operates.

The profile of demand for CVS services is likely to change as well as the funding and strategic support local infrastructure organisations get from their local authority and NHS.

The ELN Briefing was prepared by trainer and consultant Ian Beever. Ian has been a freelance consultant and trainer for the last eight years, working for a diverse range of voluntary and statutory agencies as well as private sector companies across the UK. Previously Ian was the CEO of a Council for Voluntary Service in London for 4.5 years, as well as sitting on the London CVS Network Steering Group for 3 years. Prior to working for the CVS, Ian worked in mental health and training services for young people with learning disabilities and behavioural problems in Richmond and Hackney.

Havco's Annual Survey

The Havco Annual Survey is open. As well as helping us to plan for future business, the results will play a key role in a funding bid we are applying for.We need to be able to establish and prove the value you (our members) put on the services we provide for you - e.g. Training, Accountancy Services, Newsletter, Networking Forums etc

With the funding of the Voluntary Sector changing the scant opportunites open to us are diminishing further so we need more than ever to show funders that you want and need us, as well as to be sure we direct our funds into those services you want - So, If you don't like or value a service don't tick the box, if you do then do tick it. The results from this survey will potentially have a far reaching affect on the future of Havco, our services and as a result your organisation

If you want to see us continue to offer all our current services (or more) Please undertake the survey at your ealiest convenience,it takes less than 5 minutes to complete so why not do it now?.
